How do you know when your transmission mount is weak??? S90-V90 1998

I changed out the trans mount last week on our 98 S90 (78K). The mount looked fine, it didn't seem to have excessive movement when I shook it. However, I was getting a clunking in the driveline when shifting from R to P, and the gear shift lever would oscillate forward and back at certain speeds (~65mph) under load going up long grades.

I replaced the mount, and the clunk is noticeably better but not completely gone. The gearshift oscillation is better as well.

Motor mounts look and feel 'o.k.' but not like new, they are on order.

The mount replacement is very easy. I ordered a new Volvo mount from FCP for $56.50 + shipping.
