I did both methods on my car. I first used the TAB tool and pressed out the old bushing. The whole thing comes out including the metal case. It's a tight fit but it does work. The job was hard. I found it much easier warming up the casing and pulling out the old one when it got soft. It was much easier and left only a small rubber residue that was easily buffed off with a dremmel. The poly bushings just slide in and it's done!
