Well, as so often happens under my shade tree mechanic shop... After two days of agony, I finally figured out that I had the fuel lines running incorrectly - the inflow into the pressure regulator etc. So, I finally have pressure.. However, the heads-up on the fuel pickup pipe was spot-on. Also, yes I put a new fuel filter on almost right away.

So, on to the next fire...
