No Acceleration. 200

Inspect your coil wire- make sure it hasn't been worn on the PS pump or the brake master cylinder. Sometimes the coil wire can ground out if it gets abraded. Could make for a weird intermittent failure.

The 002 air mass meter used in 83-84 is known to be more failure prone than the later ones. If you have or can get a spare, probably worth trying that as a replacement. Inspect it's connector as well, as it could have corrosion in the plug.

How's the dist cap and rotor? How about the fuel filter? Also how much fuel was in the tank when this happened? If a fillup helps prevent this, you could have a break in a hose or line inside the tank, on the sending unit.
