Stuck, please help 700 1989

The 88 765 that I got out of a junk yard a couple of years ago took me months to start. It went through all of the same symptoms that you are having. I tried every fix listed on the board and finally used the one recommended by a girl that used to post here although I haven't seen anything recently. "Change the wiring harness." I made my own with GM OEM style locking connectors (not slip fit) and have only had one instance of intermittent start since,(a failed power stage). Make ceratin that you take the grounds out of the connector bodies also. Why Volvo allowed that design to creep in is beyond me but it is not a good electrical practice.

If all of the good advice from those below doesn't work, order some connectors from www.sherco-auto.com and go to work.

Regards,
