Of Flanges and Fits 120-130

You are very lucky indeed. It seems to have rubbed off a little bit on me as I was able to find a J-type 3.5" flange and a short 1.75" front shaft from the same fellow (pays to advertise parts wanted in here).

Given my time (and cash) restrictions at the moment, I'm going to park "Frankenstein," pull the M41 switch bellhousings (hydraulic clutch) and add 5th gear to my Wagon. I'll eventually drop that nice B20E D-jet into the Amazon too, but that will have to wait a bit - probably when I can afford to get her re-painted. I'll worry about uping the driveshaft to a 2" (and that whole re-do of the rear-end) when I pull my 500,000 mile B18.

My amazon is a 67' and uses a fairly conventional rubber doughnut, bearing, and semi-circular strap for the center bearing. It also has nice front disk brakes, even though they are single-circuit, external boost. Another planned upgrade.

I've enjoyed driving Frankenstein, but I see what you mean about that weird "my car looks like junk and everyone that sees me in it thinks so too" feeling. When I get the driveshaft parts, Frankenstein is going into the garage for final disassembly... However, parts of him will live on...
