Copper exhaust mainifold Nuts

They aren't copper; they're plated steel. Copper isn't strong enough.
The plating is an anti-seize; stuff out of a can works, too, as do stainless nuts, http://www.mcmaster.com/ 90923A241 or 94150A355.
