Two observations. Be very careful as to which male unions you use. The Volvo ones are odd in that they don't have an unthreaded "nose" use the conventional type and they engage on about 2 threads.

Secondly those Girling boosters are bad news, personally I wouldn't use it. They simply don't work reliably once they get geriatric.
