IPD covers 200

IPD told me their caps are made by Accu-form, but the guy told me they only have a 1-year warranty. I asked if that was a manufacturer warranty or IPD's warranty and he said it was IPD's. He seemed to know nothing of a manufacturer warranty, but if they are indeed Accu-form, I've been assured - and have seen several places on the web - that Accu-form covers have a life time warranty against cracking/warping.

Therefore, through IPD one would get a 1-year warranty period during which they would replace it, and afterwards the manufacturer's lifetime warranty should still apply.

Seriously thinking about doing this. Finding a dash in the junk yard is likely to cost me almost as much, and it's sure to be cracked as well. And I'd probably spend just as much money on materials to re-cover one myself, not to mention the time involved in learning how and then exectuing what I learn. The only good alternative I can think of would be getting a Junk yard dash in fair shape, filling the cracks with bumper repair epoxy - which I now believe to be THE way to go for dash repair - then swapping them.

Of course if I could just live with a carpet dash cover I'd be set, but...what can I say, I'm a perfectionist.

Of course, I have no idea is anyone even cares, but I like to post about my Volvo related research anyway, because I know it would have helped ME when I was asking these questions to have found a post like this.
