More deep thinking. 200 1987

Scorron:

Silly? I think not! Allow me to provide the rest of the info:

Here is what I have to do before dropping off the car:
1: Strip all trim, lights, and bumpers from the car.
2: Remove the adhesive black sticker from under the windows.
3: Remove all window seals that touch body color.
4: Paint the door jambs, inside of the doors, hatch, hood and engine compartment. (already done). One coat adhesion promoter, two coats of primer, wet sand, three coats of base, and two coats of clear followed by wet sanding and polishing.

What he will do for $2500:
1: Clean and sand the entire outer body.
2: Tape and foam off what needs it.
3: Make minor body repairs.
4: One coat of adhesion promoter.
5: Two coats of primer
6: Wet sand and block as needed, reprime areas as needed.
7: Shoot three coats of base (Blue-Green metallic)
8: If needed wetsand, knowing this guy's work, its doubtful that it will be needed.
9: Shoot two coats of clear.
10: Bake the paint.
11: Wetsand the entire body to a ZERO ORANGE PEEL condition.
12: Polish the clear coat back up to full lustre.
13: Put it on a roll-back and send it back to my shop.

Do I have it in writing? Heck yes! I'll report back with the results when I have it done, along with his name just in case someone else wishes to use his services!

He did mention that the price would triple if I really want him to do the "Bertone Chop" on the roof of the 245... still thinking about it! After all, custom glass ain't cheap!
