smoking during engine braking 140-160 1970

It is the result of engine vacuum (high on hard deceleration) pulling oil
through the clearance between the intake valve guides and valvestems.
Probably not a problem unless oil consumption gets out of hand or you fail
an inspection because of it (not likely). You can replace a LOT of oil for
what it costs to replace valves and/or guides!
