Question on the stereo amplifiers under the steering column 700 1990

You have got the antenna circuit remembered correctly but it is not the one used to turn the power amp on and off. The external audio amp is wired to a high current power supply (that's the one that is fuse protected), and is triggered by an unshielded wire within the DIN cable.
