Six-point mini socket. Fits in easily, six points keep it from rounding the valve corners off. A little penetrating lubricant squirted onto each valve a couple of hours before wrenching on them helps too. If you want to speed up the intrusion of the penetrant, tap the valve lightly. It sucks in the lube.

Still, replacing them if you can is the best way to go.
