Thank you all for your comments.
Just that we do not misunderstand each other - the two rubber o rings are about 0.5 cm in diameter - right?
In regards to other commets:
There is no contra-indications i9n the Hein's manual to separating the 2 halves of the caliper - so I didn't know not to separate them.
Concering the "cheap cars - cheap parts" - well, I am sorry to say, but these are only rubber rings, and the caliper kit can be bought outside the company for about $8 a set - but without these little O rings.
AS far as myself being suited or not to owning an old car - well, I prbably am not very well suited. The fact is, I would rather have the butler drive the car to the garage - and then declair the "sir, the machinery has been fixed". Yes that is prbably more me.
But, as it goes, I have owned my first car at the age of 31. All the 3 cars that I have owned have not exceeded the year 1982. So I have been fixing old cars since a few years - not as a hobby, but as a necessity. All I know are old cars.
Can anyone send me an internet site where there are these rings?
thanks
Gadio
