The more I thought about it, the less I wanted to deal with MC, junction block and bleeding. My facilities here consist of cold, wet earth, very little time and inadequate tools.
So I've again hired my excellent mechanic to fix the hydraulics, which will include flushing the entire system by the book. I'll be returning the MC to Groton, since it's not what they advertised. There is no "ATE" anywhere on the cylinder or reservoir, as there are on the existing parts. It's assembled wrong as well, and there's a visible difference--for sure--in the quality of manufacture.
This is quite surprising, too. I've always done well with FCP in the past.
I really appreciate the informative response, however, and I'll report back when I fetch the car tomorrow. Thanks again,
Brendan.
