Of ignitions and alternators 120-130 1960

Hey Mark,

If you have a B20 block, no modification is necessary to install an alt. The generator uses the three bolts in the block, the alt uses the ear below and forward of the threads the generator uses. A fresh bosch 55a unit from a '73 onwards 140 series w/ AC shouldn't cost much more than $75, and a voltage regulator another $30 or so.

I don't know about 6v coils, what their resistance is. Your pic in the last post shows a coil that looks to be OEM. To install electronic pick-up on a 122 you'll have to splice into the armored cable, which someone else will have to tell you how to do. Or you could wire up another coil, mount it on the fender well.

Do a search for "retro rockets" they don't have Volvo specific stuff yet, but IIRC you can use the VW 009 ignitor, even though the dizzy rotates the other way. Same kit should also fit the 003/JFR4 dizzy. There's options other than IPD.

1960? Put up some more pics!
Cheers, -Sean
