Rod Knock? 120-130 1965

If it quiets down as the rpm's rise, it's probably the cam. A loose rod has no problems tapping at higher rpm. The valvetrain is more likely to tap/rattle/knock at idle because it is undergoing a push/pull alternating torque as the cam lobe push the valves up and the get pushed back down by the valves. At higher rpms the oil pump (I think) puts the valvetrain into a constant pull.
