740 16V cold start problems 700

There is a temp sensor which controls the injector duration during warm up. The wiring or sensor may be shorted, fooling the ECU into thinking the engine is warm.
However, in my experience, although difficult, the engine will start even if cold. Check for a major problem, no spark, no fuel, or there couldbe a big vacuum leak.
