Very hard to say what gave up its last breath because some details indicate a binding rear brake or failed wheel bearing (the loose rear / flat tyre feeling) but the WATER needs a different explanation. The colour of the oil will help figure its source but a quick look underneath is definitely in order. Look to see how far forward the oil trail starts.

Inspect the inside wall of the rear wheels too to be sure that you did not simply pick up something on the road that got wedged into moving parts
