Cam,
I suspect that the parts you have identified with question marks are simply the tubes in which the chain rides. Atop the radiator and through the bulkhead.
They appear to be copper, making them easy to solder to the radiator. Also seems that you would have to cut-to-fit and bend them accordingly. Supplying a straight length would offer multiple applications.
Bulkhead piece (the one with the bracket) probably doesn't need bending though.
Just my guess.
