It was a big bore (2130cc) B20 with thin cylinder walls and fell into some
other problems at about the same time. I think it performed somewhat better
than the HS6s I had before but I had problems with water leakage that came
to a head when a 5/16" hex nut got sucked into #2 (which was the leaking one)
and squashing the nut down to less than 1/8" thick against the flat of the
cylinder head cocked the piston in the bore enough to split the cylinder wall
from bottom to top, a big enough crack you could stick a spoon handle into it.
When I put it back together with a new old 8-bolt (1975) block, 6-bolt
innards, I went back to stock bore and HS6 carbs. In retrospect I think there
was a bigger difference in gas mileage than in performance but I am not sure
I ever had it performing right.
