This might be it 200 1980

Well, I am certainly no expert and not much of a mechanic, BUT, I have been into this situation before. The welding thing worked for me. I had to have the car towed to a local shop. The guy laughed and said this was more common than thought. My situation was that the broken bolt had left just a little bit sticking above the block (about 1/32). He spotted another bolt to the broken one ... but I noticed he took a candle and rubbed wax all around the base of the bolt. When I asked he said the wax would wick downward with the heat.
His charge was a good bit cheaper than the tow bill!

hope this helps in some small way;
