Hi--I just went through this with my 87 745Ti. My mechanic replaced power stage and coil, to no avail. I wanted to renew these anyway--they were all original. The problem was not fixed until we replaced the distributor. His take was why fiddle with the Hall Sensor rebuild if you have an original distributor, just start with an entire new dist.
