A Bit Wobbly... 120-130 1967

Hi Jeff!

I had to replace a tie rod when i got my wagon. If this is
the problem then you would be able to feel play in the wheel
when the car is jacked up in the air. Grab the wheel on each
side and see if there is any play as you try to turn the wheel
(like it would when you steer the car) If you see or feel any
play then it would be time to change it out. I could actually
turn my wheel in and out almost 1/2" each way and I could see
how close to failure it really was. I actually bought the car
this way....LOL.

I had the castle nut on mine as well but the replacement
tie rod had the nylock nut and all has been perfect!

Hope this helps you in some way!

Cheers,

Karl
