High Compression vs. HIFs 120-130

I am using an inline fpr between the fuel pump and the carbs. I also have a filter between the tank and the pump.

The car ran much better today, but I still run into issues with the car dying when it's cold and the idle dropping to around 500 before bouncing back to 900-1000.

I had not really considered that the high compression engine might be a problem for the HIF6s. It does make a some sense however...

Any comments on this?
