Thanks for the input, Paul. The regulator, though ancient, seems to be OK. I tried it in the PV which has a B20 with an alternator in it, and it charges at nearly 14V. Since the Bosch 55Amp is already on the way, I'll use that. I'll just have to find the right pulley for it. I was just wondering if it is possible to distinguish a 55A SEV from a 35A when the label is gone and the alternator is out of the car. That's all. You know, the character flaw that killed the cat. ;-)
