Very interesting indeed. I'm going to have to think about how to do this. First part would be to look at the earlier quad light set-ups on Volvos, but I started looking at quad round set-ups on earlier 80's BMW's wondering if they could be adapted to look somewhat like what you've done, only with lateral slats. (that would in this case match my all-black grill).

I've read that trying to switch to the earlier Volvo (i.e. quad square) lights is a major PITA. As your fab sounds (in terms of time donation, anyway).

Pretty busy now, but maybe over the summer...

Went to the yards today, and I've got a broken passenger side light, which got me to thinking.... heh, heh, heh.
