Thanks for the info. I was thinking that low-end advance would be good for the autobox; which the 007 provides in abundace. The 078 might do that too, and it has the one-piece breaker to boot. Not sure what you mean by swash plates but I'll look in to that.

Is it best to remove the vac all-together or is it sufficient to just disconnect it?

And the real nugget:
Can anyone point me to graphic illustrations of advance curves? Or numerically by serial no.? Ordinarily I wouldn't mind experimenting but neither of the carbed cars are in positions to cooperate presently.
