Yeah, thanks. You would have won if you had bid anything at all. I bid $10.01 as much to save them from the scrap heap as anything. I dis need another spare however (only have one).
Still, those auctions just prove my point. Of all the people in the world with access to eBay and a need for such a rare part, only you and I were interested and only I bid anything? I expect that the seller expected them to go for a bit more. The seller was a good sport however and combined shipping for the two auctions.
I had a similar deal on a pair of good-condition front seats. $25.00 (or so) for two that just need some restiching. Nobody was interested or bid on them but me.
I too try to avoid bidding against other Brickboarders, but I have bid against you on a couple things I really needed. I don't think I ever won, however. non-competitive bidding is a generally polite practice that I try to follow. eBay is pretty cut-throat in general. Those sniping services drive me nuts especially...
By the way, did you come out on top with that huge haul of 122 and 140 parts in Penn. a couple months back?
And of course, if you need anything specific, please let me know. I'm building/fortifying a stash of spares for my own amazon project and have a lot of extras of odd things.
