Stumbling & Stalling after WOT 140-160 1970

When you put the new pump on (if it is an aftermarket one) you will probably need to buy a fuel pressure regulator and install that. Otherwise the new pump will be a little too powerful and may flood your carbs. This is what happened in my case at least. Good luck. Also, my setup is no longer doing this, I put an original gas cap on, one from a 164. I also took out the charcoal canister and removed the excess hoses. Took it for a drive last night and got on it pretty hard, and it didn't die. It is still hesitating quite a bit, but not dying anymore. Good luck.

Jason
