I have gotten my 740 turbo w/ standard transmission up to about 100 in fourth gear and well over 120 (speedo needle was maxed out at the odo pin) in overdrive. Both times the RPM's were at about 5500, and this was about 10000 miles ago, so I don't think there were any ill effects.
