What kind of seats are you using in your PV 444-544

I have a set of '95 850 seats in my PV. I think that they are great.

I chose a nice set of cloth seats with an electric driver's seat and heaters. Too heavy!!! I chose cloth because I have no AC and they look good.

Warning - They are a bit high, I will convert the driver's seat to manual some day. I took the side airbag triggers off, but I found out later that I could have kept them (Does the PV have enough room for the bags to deploy without harming the people?)

I removed the mounting pins from the 850 seats and had two flat bars, 3" x 1/4" aluminum, welded to the base rails of the seat. T mounted a piece of 1/2" plywood to the original seat mounts, using the original seat rail screws, Then I bolted the bars to the plywood. The bars/sheet mounting system allowed me to position the seat anywhere I wanted to. I cut away a lot of the plywood that wasn't doing anything, especially front and rear where the rear seat passenger put their feet. Then I duplicated the plate with 1/4" aluminum and I will paint it black.

If you look at an 850 seat out of the car, you can see that it adjusts about an inch and a half down from stock height.

Junkyard parts are strictly supply and demand, so price several models. 850 seats were MUCH less than good 740 seats. If I did it again, I'd try S40 seats.

My PV had 140 seats in it when I bought it, but they were in sad shape and a bit wider than the 850 seats.`I should have purchased the rear seat too.
