Here's the math,there are various tire size calculators
online,but doing it and watching the numbers gives a
better feel of wheel diameters for me.
Formula:
Tire sidewall diameter times2, times aspect ratio,
plus rim diameter equals wheel diameter.
The 140 chassis is designed around a 165-80-15.
165mmx2=330mmx.80=264mm/25.4=10.39"
plus 15"rim=25.39" {Golden number}
Your 205-60-14
205x2=410x.60=246/25.4=9.68+14=23.68"
Looks a bit short to me,but it will provide good acceleration.
I'm gonna guess 195-60-15
195x2=390x.60=234/25.4=9.21+15=24.21"
Hmmm
195x2=390x.55=214.5/25.4=8.44=15=23.44"
2 points in 25 looks like @8% speedo error
And the car sits an inch low.
Fuel economy will suffer,and the engine will be
busy at freeway speed.
After trying several sizes,I settled on 195-65-15 for practical purposes.
Good luck
Ken
