Babies! =P 140-160

Power steering is for sissies! Ok, maybe not, but I enjoy my early 142 without steering assist and its added weight/complexity/power sappage(not that there's a noticeable amount).

I had a 14" steering wheel on my car with 195/65-15 wheels for a while, it was hard, but doeable. Not NEARLY as hard to steer as a late 240 with the power steering belt taken off with 235/45-17s though, which I struggled with for maybe 3-4000miles... :)

Keep in mind that the difference between steering weight at NON MOVING SPEEDS(just turn when you're moving, it's not difficult) between a 195 and 205 is going to have more to do with the actual tire brand and model than the numbers on the side of it.

Increased caster is going to make a difference in steering effort when not moving as well.

That's why you just roll forward/backwards a bit at the same time you turn the wheel... ;)

66-estate, why have you narrowed it down to those two tires? Ever thought of NOT buying tires from Les Schwab? I recommend it.

FWIW, currently I have some old, once sticky, Z rated 205/55-16s on my '68. Steering doesn't bother me a bit.
