Hey Bruce,
I inherited a '91 240 B230F. It's not running, seems to be, from preliminary investigation, a fuel pump/pressure issue. It's a LH 2.2 System. So, there are two pumps, just like an other 2.2 System ?
I have a spare sender from a LH 2.2 and a spare boot pump from the '86 B230FT that is RIP for parts out in the driveway. I have all sorts of spare relays, a spare 016 AMM, polished spare TB in case I do have an issue with something other than the pumps, I am ready to deal with it.
The car is in really nice shape and doesn't have a spot of rust anywhere, inside, outside, underneath, does have a loose door handle, blah blah - little mechanical things that are secondary at this point.
You have the 240 with Ford motor in it and the wheels you have on your 240 are the same wheels I want to put onto my 240 sedan.
The wheels I have and I want to pout into my 240 are off of my '86 B230FT Wagon and they are 15".
Are yours 15" too ?
Do they fit right on and don't scrape etc ?
If so, how does this effect the speedo ?
What do I need to correct ?
Do I have to crawl into the trunk to get a the fuel sender ?
Anything eles I dshould know about the 240 that seems to be a common point of failure with the 240s ?
Oh yeah, it is a Auto trans, think an AW71 ? Does this sound right to you ?
It's been really snowy and frezzing out and I have also been laid up after surgery so I can not and have not been out rolling around inside and outside of the 240.
Thanks in advance,
Cousin John
