Revving the motor

HORSEPOWER!! is the ability to accelerate a given weight.Ability
to accelerate reciprocating weight is proportional to horsepower
example: 400 hp caterpilar diesel will probably gain 500rpm in
time it takes a 400hp sports car engine to redline.
I am guessing a porche sport engine of same reciprocating weight
as a b230 has a few hp more. We must also compare na vs na or turbo
vs turbo because turbo lag affects revup speed
