Question: how do I replace the plastic windshield clip? 200 1993

Did it on a 740, loosened the top of the door trim enough to remove the interior A-pillar trim by the windshield. I remember it fit in a slot or over the edge of the windshield and actually could be put on either left or right side of the car.
My original had windshield black adhesive on it also hiding part of the broken clip. 200 should not be any different.
