Thanks for the replies guys. Wednesday we plan to strip the 740 parts car and guess I'll make sure I have everything I need to do the swap to the 780. I have seen one 780 with a 4 speed go through e-bay a couple of years ago so it is something that has been done .... I dropped Balu a note and he says he would do it again in a flash ... so looks like I've made up my mind to go ahead with the swap . I'll let you know how I make out.
