It's the needle valves that stick, not the floats. Take the needles out and clean them with lacquer thinner, or brake clean, or some other powerful solvent. Set the float levels to about 3/16 from the lid surface when inverted, without compressing the pin if they have them. Drive it.
You may have some crud in the fuel system that is causing the needles to unseat.
