I don't know how the two codes would stop the car from running but I would try the following. Have someone try to start the car while your back at the gas cap with it off and try to hear the pump running while they are trying to start the car. If you can't hear anything check your fuses and relays for your gas pump. If that doesn't do it you probally have a pump gone bye bye. If your getting gas-take out one of the spark plugs and then hook it back up to the coil and turn the engine over and see if your getting spark. If your not getting spark-it's most likely the crank sensor thats gone bad. It's the lone wire that goes to the back of the engine and is hooked into the top of the trannies bellhousing. On this model car I bet thats what the problem is-they made the wire of a better material in the later years which doesn't fail as often.
Hope that gives you a good place to start. I hope you don't have to replace the ERG valve-it's a real bear to remove-I haven't had to do this with my car-just know a few people who have. You would need to remove the intake to even get access to it.
