I have no experience with Volvo and Pertronix. I DO however know about their coils and ignitions in Farmall tractors. I have a 53' Super A in my barn up in Middle Tn. It run it about 4 hours a month and it had a problem keeping the points clean and working. I installed the igniton and coil from Pertronix, removing the points, about 3 years ago and it has not missed a beat since then, through the dust, heat, cold, goat hair, straw, etc. Best investment I made for my Farmall.
