Trunk Badging 444-544

Hello All
Sorry to be late with this response. If yours is a 65, likely it is a 544 G.

From my parts book, after chassis# 419300: "544" Badge # 671190, "Sport" Badge #671189, "Volvo" Badge #671159. The 544 badge was used with B18A engined cars.

Sales Lit wasn't too much help as they pictured a European model without the protecting tubular bar that Volvo used on the US models. Both badges were on the same (left) side and "Volvo" was above "Sport". However, since it has been many years since I had my 65 544 (here in the USA), I seem to remember that the badges were on the right side of the boot (trunk) lid. That memory may be hazy at this point

That version of the 544 also used the shield shaped 544 badges on the cowl sides between the door and the hood (bonnet). There was a black/aluminum Volvo arrow badge on the grille on the driver side. No b18 badges at all.

Hope this helps some.

Bob Tescione
