Stan there is no reason to change the Mobil One at 3K miles. I run mine to 6K miles since I use it exclusively for the highway. I would say at a bare minimum you will not have to change the oil for at least 5,000 miles. There is no Turbo so the oil doesn't get abused too much under normal driving conditions.
