Which Volvo wagon to shop for?

Thanks for all the thoughts so far - I'm starting to get a feel for my options. It sounds as if the motors' longevity is good on all of these models, which is important since I expect my budget to get me a car with 140K or so miles on it.

A few other things I'm wondering about...

Has fuel economy changed much over these models?

How much of a maintenance headache is a turbo unit likely to be?

How difficult is it to mount a sturdy roof rack on these newer models without rain gutters?
