Actually, that sounds pretty likely. I've been tracing multiple electrical gremlins and have found a number of disconnected wires so far.

This afternoon I replaced almost all the bulb contacts for my tail lights. Every one except the dual brake lights had broken off and had to be replaced. Fortunately that's easy but at $3.00 a pop it adds up. The trunk handle light are wired up but do not work because... there is no wiring in the trunk lid...?! My heater switch does not work at all (yet). My hazards and turn signals would not work either (turned out to be disconnected wire on the hazard switch - and a lazy relay).

Fun stuff trying to make a car road-worthy that has not be licensed for 22 years...

I'll trace that wire and try to find the source...
