I'm with John on that one.. you can use the 'canned' settings to start, then time by ear.

I will add though... adjust the points first, and while you in there, lubricate the distributor, as that is often overlooked. Just a couple drops of oil on the felt in the shaft under the rotor, and a little in the oiler thingie on the side of the destributor. A little bit in the advance mechanism doesn't hurt, but don't get carried away...
