d-jet AAV coolant sensor /Threadjack 120-130

I'm not so sure about this -- if the cold start injector was stuck open, the car would run rich. If it were stuck closed, the car would be a little harder to start when cold.

The AAV doesn't recognize nor rely on any of the FI components to function - it reacts to the coolant temperature; as the temp increases, the AAV closes, thus reducing the idle speed.

The CS injector should only become active when 1) the engine temp is "cold" and 2) when the starter motor is engaged.

It's true that a rich condition can cause the engine to run cooler than it should, but not so cool that the AAV would remain open.

Best,
