Rust repair, use of floor pans from other car?

I've been patching big rust holes in my 240's floor pan for several summers (including this one). I use fresh sheet metal, screws or rivets, and lots of POR-15 which at least keeps the rust at bay and seals the car up. I don't know how to weld, but that would be the best option.

I'm not familiar with the floor pan design of the 544s. If the replacement pan fits the '62, then that should work well if the new pan's size matches what is removed from the '62.
