Not sure what the rpms would be but from a stand still you should feel 3 distinct shifts from 1st through to 4th then if maintaining a steady speed another slight but distinct reduction in rpm as the torque converter goes into lockup. I think you would then be well under 3K RPM.
What are your symptoms?
