Compressor clutch spinning slowly / AC not working -update

About the shims - makes sense to me. Tho where to get them I don't know.

I worked a lot on my 1984 240s a/c systems, rebuilt compressors, replaced shaft seals, etc. On my 1988, which has I think a Diesel-kiki, I have only looked at the manual. Looks like the compressor must be off the car to replace the clutch. So the system is opened, new dryer and charge required, etc. Still it should be less $$$ that a new compressor.

Good Luck,

Bob
